Molonglo Valley Sips & Sounds

Sips & Sounds is an opportunity for the grown-ups of Molonglo Valley to enjoy a community event designed for them, with beer, wine, cider, good food and great music, all lined up to create a relaxing social evening on the last Saturday in summer.

This event is for residents of the Molonglo Valley, so attendance is free, and we’ve organised food and drink to be available for purchase. Because of liquor licensing we need to monitor attendance numbers on the day so please make sure you register online to secure your spot.

Born out of the mutual love of good wine, amazing experiences shared with the best of people, the Wine Crowd is a venture born out of passion and enthusiasm for all things vino and run by local residents from the Molonglo Valley. They will have a great range of wines for you to sample and buy.

CaraVan Morrison Mobile Bar
Behind the concept are two mogul chaps, Liam and Digby, who share a passion for craftsmanship across all disciplines, but mostly, a good tipple. Van Morrison will supply tap and bottled beers and ciders, wine, champagne, soft drink, juice for purchase.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring along a picnic blanket. Please note you are not permitted to bring your own hot food or alcohol to this event.

GETTING THERE
Stromlo Cottage is located on Noffs Crescent in Coombs. Parking is fairly limited so we encourage you to walk or ride down instead. There is plenty of space outside of the cottage to chain up your bike.

A FEW THINGS TO NOTE
Attendance at the event is free for Wright and Coombs residents although registrations are required. Due to liquor licensing, we need to monitor attendance numbers on the day so please make sure you register online to secure your spot.

Some vendors will have EFTPOS facilities available although we recommend that you bring cash on the day instead.

Children are welcome to come along although there won’t be any kids activities set up on the day. As alcohol is being served it is important that kids are closely supervised by parents.

Unfortunately we can’t accommodate dogs at the cottage – we’re just as sad as you are!

You are not permitted to bring your own hot food or alcohol to this event.
